The Pacific Marine Surveyors management team consists of personalities who possess an immense amount of experience, knowledge and know-how in developing and implementing technical marine survey solutions.

Pacific Marine Surveyors Kenya Ltd has carefully assembled a team of experienced and skilled manpower in all critical areas of operation.

Mr. Japheth Omollo – Managing Director

Mr. Japheth Omollo is a Kenyan and chief executive/ founder of pacific marine surveyors Kenya Ltd. He has majored in Maritime studies with Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers based in UK (ICS) majoring in maritime law, customs tarrifs, cargo classification, marine insurance, Port Agency , Multimodal transport , Marine cargo survey and risk management.

He has career experience spanning 15 years  in Marine survey / Loss adjustment and has worked with a myriad of re cognize d organizations. He has also served as WE COX agents representing the interest of the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) through the Cargo Surveillance Unit as Scheme Managers.

In the course of his day to day dealings visited various dry and sea ports globally thus acquiring excellent skills in the industry of Marine surveying/Claims handling. Accordingly that enables him to offer services that meet the requisite international standards hence satisfying our local and international esteemed clients.

He is currently advancing his studies with a view of attaining Fellowship in the International Institute of Marine Surveyors (IIMS).

Mr. Michael Mbogho - Operations & Claims

Mr. Mbogho has over 10 years’ experience in Marine Cargo Surveying and Claims Handling field. He has majored in Maritime studies with NAVTECH USSA MARINE having specialized in Marine Cargo Surveys and Insurance Investigations. He is a Member of the Institute of Loss Adjusters and Risk Surveyors (IARS and specializes in Cargo Surveys Risk Assessment, general insurance claims and recoveries.

He has over 10years experience in the surveying and loss assessment field and has worked with several organizations in course of his dealings and acquired great skills in handling claims that enables him to deliver services that are in line with the among others McLarens Young International (K) Ltd and Oceanic Marine Kenya as agent(s) of W.E Cox Claims Group Ltd-London.

He is currently pursuing Professional /Insurance Investigation studies to become a Certified Private Insurance Investigator with the International Fraud Investigation Group through Insurance Institute of East Africa (IIEA).

Dorah Wamada – Finance

Enthusiastic and self-motivated Chartered Accountant, a holder of Degree in Bachelor of Commerce with 10years of invaluable experience in Financial Reporting and Accounting, Corporate Finance, Taxation to Financial Management.

Hellen Kabete - HOD-Administration and Pest Control

A background of science brought passion and hardwork into Hellen’s role at Pacific Marine Surveyors.
She approaches her work with enthusiasm and professionalism that has impacted growth on her department and Pacific Marine Surveyors as a whole.

Hellen is a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree (Biology Major)
Certified Pest Management professional-Public Health (AAK/PEMAK)
Occupational Safety and Health certified trainer.
She is also a Certified Auditor in Auditing and Implementing Quality Management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 19011: 2011
Over 10 years’ experience in fumigation and pest control techniques especially on storage pests

Mr. Damien Ndwiga – Masters degree M. Sc offered by World Maritime University based in sweden - (Consultant)

Mr. Ndwiga has background in shipbuilding/Marine Engineering/Naval architecture, Marine Operations, Ship and Yacht evaluation, Marine Surveys, Claims Adjustment and Ship Classification. He is a chartered Lloyds Register Surveyor; He has worked in several ports amongst others Bahrain, Gosport (Marine Engineering) new building (Laspezia), France, Germany, London, Shanghai China, Bangkok and Guinea. Captain Dwiga has 21 years experience and his great knowledge in machinery and hull surveys and certification has been of great attribute to this firm.
He is our consultant with particular focus on new build surveys, projects and pre discharge inspections, MCA commercial compliance and commercial craft surveys, pre purchase surveying and valuation.

Mr. A.M. ALI (Marine Engineering Consultant)

A.M. Ali, is an Accredited Marine Surveyor® with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® with earned designations of ’’Tug & Barge, Hull & Machinery, Cargo’’, and has over 25 years sea service, initially as a deck cadet rising to the rank of Chief Officer, serving in different types of cargo vessels and ocean tugs.
Mr. Ali is a graduate of the National Sea Training Center School of Marine Surveying, North West, Kent College, (U.K). and also a graduate of Cape Technicon Safety and Survival Training for the Marine. – STCW 95 ’’Training the trainer course,’’ – [RSA].
He Lectures on part time basis at Bandari College, one of the leading Maritime Colleges in East & Central Africa run by Kenya Ports Authority. Mr. Ali was also a Marine Pilot with Kenya Ports Authority.

Mr. Kiplagat BSC (Hons) YDSA Survey, AMRINA, M.I.I.M.S, RMS-(Consultant)

Mr. Kiplagat is a Yacht Manufacturing and Surveying Associate Member of RINA. He is a Registered Marine Surveyor and full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying and affiliate member of YDSA.
He is our consultant with particular focus on new build surveys, projects and pre shipment inspections, MCA commercial compliance and commercial craft surveys, pre purchase surveying and valuation.
He has a wealthy experience and is handling large vessels and ship builds in various ports (ship yard) within UK, Turkey, Korea.
